MMy name is Elaine Power and I am a professional dog trainer and behaviourist based in Mid-Ulster, Northern Ireland. My aim is to assess your dog or puppy, while teaching you the best, tailored techniques that work. Aftercare is provided, and i will send you tutorial videos to support and re-enforce the skills. I am recommended by veterinary practices and work closely with several in my locality providing training and resolving behavioral issues.
I am particularly interested in Cocker Spaniels, Cockapoos, Dachshunds and the problems associated, such as resource guarding, anxiety, unwanted and reactive behaviours.
I have an H.N.D in Animal behaviour, and have been working full time as a behaviourist for 20 years. I provide one to one sessions, puppy classes, video consutations and digital training packages.
My main aim within my business is to teach training techniques and behaviour remedies in a calm, kind manner and to promote the overall happiness and well being of the dog (and of course human too).
I work in Cookstown, Magherafelt, Dungannon, Ballyclare, Antrim, Belfast and surrounding areas near me.
I am fully insured with the Kennel Club and have up to date first aid certificate.
Puppy BehaviourBehaviour Consultations normally take place within the owners home as the dog and people behave normally in their own environment. Once you understand your dog and how he relates himself to a multitude of situations, you’ll have developed a more meaningful and balanced relationship with him.
Adult Dog TrainingThe consult will normally start at home and then a short walk in a public place. I will teach you training techniques most suited to you and your dog and ensure that you are happy and confident before I leave.
A written report is then posted or emailed to you.
