“I have a 4 and a half month old Westie pup and we are both currently attending “Puppy classes” at Glenburn vets in Glengormley with Elaine. Before starting the classes I rang Elaine as I was having problem with my pup Dexter play biting. I had a good 20 minute chat with Elaine and the tips she gave me were invaluable. This was even before I had signed up for the class.
We have attended four weeks of the five week course and I have seen a big change in Dexter. He is so much more responsive to commands, the play biting is more or less under control and this is as a result of the training we have received at “puppy class”.
Elaine is very friendly and approachable and I know that if I have any questions, I can text or ring her and she will be willing and able to help. She is in total control of the pups at all times and a great judge of their characters.
All in all both Dexter and I have enjoyed the course and to be honest we will both miss our Monday class. I will admit that before I got Dexter I was not a great lover of dogs and would have been frightened of them. This class has helped me to understand dogs better and I think will make me a better dog owner.
I would recommend Elaine to anyone dog owner and thank her for her help with Dexter.“

“My name is Bronagh and my son Matthew and I got given a lovely wee pup called Alfie around February this year.
As we have never had any animals before this was all verynew to us. It was great at the start as we both had plenty of time to look after Alfie and walk him and play with him, but then the fun began Alfie had a mind of his own as we hadn’t been giving him any training Alfie then began to rule the house.
So I was in buying dog food at my local pet shop, and said about the dog barking at people when they came into the house and not letting anyone come into the house they give me Elaine’s number, which I put it in my purse and left it there for about a month until one day after listening to Alfie barking all day and night and getting no sleep, and then when we took him out for a walk he even barked at cars and other animals so it had become a night mare and we felt we couldn’t do anything to control him.
So I reached for Elaine’s number and gave her a call and as luck would have it she was going to be in our area within the next few days. So I booked Elaine for a 1 hour sessions and training began my son and I worked with Elaine and the difference within the hour was so extreme, I ask could she stay another hour and help us with walking outside. The training was very easy to understand and I got a written report posted out to us with all the tips and it was very personal for Alfie. We now have a different Alfie about the
house and the family can now enjoy him as a pup.
I also attend the group sessions that Elaine runs and find these helpful and it give us something to work on. I was able to take Alfie on his first night away to a friend mobile home and he was so well behave, and he was on the beach for the first time and now I can let him off his lead and know that he will come back to me. Thanks”

“Really appreciated all the help and advice Elaine has given us with
our puppy training. It has been invaluable! Both the puppy classes and
outdoor training were a great learning and socialising time. Elaine was able
to make them all very relaxed and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Elaine
for all your puppy and dog needs Bernie, Clare and Cody”

“We went along with our dachshund puppy (Charlie) to Elaine’s puppy school in Glengormley. From the first night you could see Elaine commands respect from the puppies. From the simplest command when asking a puppy to sit to walking off the lead Elaine could have any dog under control.
Each night started off with some socialisation. Charlie’s a very active dog – during the first week he was very active and was chasing the other puppies around the room. However since then he has become calmer and isn’t as interested in other dogs.
Once Elaine had shown us any of the commands we then had a go ourselves whilst supervised by Elaine. If we didn’t get it initially we got more help and tried again until Charlie followed our command. Over the weeks we covered gaining Charlie’s attention, sitting, house training, walking on the lead, walking off the lead, recall, lie down, go to bed and fetch. Charlie has become a very well behaved dog over the 5 weeks.
At the end of each night Elaine was more than willing to stay on and discuss any issues anyone was having. Nothing was any trouble for her and she even replied to an email when we were having problems taking Charlie for a walk. We couldn’t have asked for better!”

“I found the dog training classes really helpful. Charlie has calmed down considerably and is a lot more sociable with other dogs and people. The tasks you got us to do where basic but really made a difference and it was good to see where I, as his owner, was going wrong and how to change to help Charlie. We’re still continuing with the exercises at home and he’s really improved so have found the classes were definitely worth while and have benefited us a lot.
Thanks for all your help!

“I’ve just completed the Puppy Obedience & Socialisation course with my Golden Retriever, Scout. She was around 3 months old when we started the class and full of normal puppy energy and disobedience! The 5 week course has been excellent. Scout now walks brilliantly on the lead, and sits, stays and lies down on command. Her recall is improving every day. We still have a bit of work to do on her jumping up, but Elaine gave me plenty of tips which I’m working through. Speaking of which, when I enquired about the course, Elaine called me back and we had a chat about the fact that Scout was a very timid, frightened pup. Elaine gave me some great advice and before long Scout was well and truly out of her shell!! And all before I’d gone to a single class!
All of the dogs in the class took to Elaine really well, as she has a brilliant way with them. I was a little reticent about letting Scout off lead with other dogs around but Elaine assesses their behaviour really well and is in total control at all times. Scout growled quite a bit on the first night, but by the end of the 5 weeks she couldn’t wait to get in to see her new friends and is now very friendly towards all other dogs when we’re out walking.
And better yet, Elaine didn’t get annoyed when Scout pooped on the floor two weeks in a row! I can’t recommend this course highly enough. Your puppy’s behaviour will improve and you’ll come away a lot wiser. Quit reading and get your dog booked in now!!”
